POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the guidance of the Manager of Data Optimization, Delivery and Support, the Training Specialist is responsible for organizing and conducting basic training and educational programs for financial systems personnel and/or non-technical end-users. This role will support the financial systems, including Strata, Healthqlix, and Infor and serve as the liaison between end users and Finance. This role presents a great opportunity for exposure to Hospital operations and Finance leadership but which requires attention to detail and the ability to turn feedback into value add training materials.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Maintains records of training activities, trainee progress, and program effectiveness.
Reinforces and educates end users regarding existing workflows and best practices.
Assists finance team in defining enhancement requests based on feedback from training sessions or interactions with end users and management.
Develops training materials addressing specific educational goals and objectives for each training module to include quick guides, computer-based training (CBT), tip sheets, testing material and other training material as needed.
Provides troubleshooting and end-user support.
Performs quarterly classroom training activities and other adult learning methodologies, including leading virtual (zoom) training programs for new managers.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Must adhere to all of BMC’s RESPECT behavioral standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree required;

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

None

EXPERIENCE:

At least 3 years of experience working within large health systems
Experience with general ledger and other financial reporting systems

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Demonstrated ability to produce SOP’s and training documentation
Demonstrated ability to work with members of management
Ability to independently produce clear financial analysis regarding complex issues. Ability to give both quantitative and quality view of the issues.
Ability to create and present PowerPoint presentations that explain complicated data in a concise manner that facilitates management decision making
Required interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all levels of management and explain complicated financial concepts to leaders with varying degrees of finance knowledge; ability to train same leaders in use of the LPMS
Ability to build strong relationships across the organization and collaborate effectively with other departments both inside and outside Finance
Advanced MS Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint skills required;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to lead meetings
