Essential Function
Coordinate and direct all events and fundraising responsibilities for Morristown Corps operations and community relations.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties listed below are the primary duties of this position but are not all the duties that may be required. Specifically, the primary duties are:
Plan, implement, and oversee all Fundraisers (Annual Golf Outing; 5K Run, etc.).
Plan, implement, and oversee annual Angel Tree Toy Drive Programs.
Assist with the coordination of the annual kettle campaign, including recruitment of volunteers and organizations, and processing seasonal hires with divisional headquarters when/if needed.
Assist with preparations for monthly Advisory Board Meetings, including taking minutes at meetings.
Plan, implement, and oversee the Summer Day Camp, including processing seasonal hires with Divisional Headquarters.
Assist in identifying potential grants for Corps operations/programs.
Recruit volunteers and oversee Corps volunteer appreciation events.
Assist the Family Worker in Childcare Center appreciation events.
Provide updates of Corps calendar/events to headquarters for ongoing social media presence.
Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in an area pertaining to community relations or development.
At least 5 years of experience in planning and executing events and/or fundraisers.
Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
Strong verbal and written communication, with proven experience in public speaking.
Proven experience recruiting and managing volunteers.
Must understand and support the mission of The Salvation Army.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
